• Volition brand VF-45 brand Duplex Interconnect: The socket, plug and transceiver in this interconnect support multiple network protocols and provide 7X savings in unit cost over traditional connectors. The interconnect is designed to feature the size and functionality of the familiar RJ-45 telephone jack, making it easy to install.
• Fiber Optic Patch Cord: The Volition patch cord is more robust for use at workstations than standard fiber optic patch cords. The crush-resistant patch cord is produced to industry specifications. 3M’s patented protective coating provides a tighter bend radius for the fiber.
• Media Converter: This optoelectronic device converts an electrical signal to an optical signal and vice versa. This allows customers to build a network that takes advantage of high bandwidth optical fiber in their horizontal cabling plant without replacing their existing network interface cards and hubs.
• Patch Panel: A rack-mounted patch panel provides easy assembly with built-in cable management. Front and rear access to 24 ports and extension kits for adding additional ports provide a low-cost, high density, upgradeable solution that allows for efficient fiber management.
• Wall Outlet and Faceplate: Volition brand outlets are designed to allow the integration of Volition and copper RJ-45 terminations.
• Termination and Cleaning Kits: The Volition brand Socket Termination Kit consists of all the tools necessary to install the Volition socket. The Volition brand Maintenance Kit removes unwanted debris from the fiber end- faces and restores optical performance.
