The World of the “Real Time” Corporation is Upon Us!

From Aaron Colton, President

This issue of the newsletter is devoted to stories about some of our Internet clients— AOL, CNET.com, FlyCast, AboveNet and others. As you will read in this edition, Ceitronics is wiring and connecting “Internet farms” and network command centers, and providing Internet-related services such as facility security. In addition to bringing connectivity to Internet companies and ISPs, Ceitronics now offers systems integration of enterprise Web electronic commerce sites. If your company is planning an Internet farm or E-business site, we hope you will consider Ceitronics for its connectivity skills, cost control, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

To reflect Ceitronics’ Internet expertise, we are introducing this new Internet/E-Business icon. It joins the six existing Ceitronics symbols that represent other areas of our service:

– Audio and Video Systems n Fire Life Safety Systems
– Voice/Data/Fiber Optics n Security Systems
– Education n Post Completion Service

Through its experience with leading Internet companies, Ceitronics is uniquely positioned to serve the new Internet-inspired economy populated by what marketing mastermind Regis McKenna calls “The Real Time Corporation.” Real Time is the growing sense that the concepts of time and distance as we have always known them have vanished.

Increasingly, in today’s business, time and distance have collapsed, and action and response are simultaneous. In Real Time, companies and their customers have dialogue and responsiveness around the clock. In Real Time, companies are in touch with the marketplace 24 hours a day, and the customer expects instantaneous service, at the speed of the Internet

In his book Real Time, McKenna says that corporations will use three networks to develop the infrastructure and communities of interest necessary for sustaining Real Time, and thus customer loyalty and brand equity.

These are:
– The intranet, which links vital resources within the company
– The extranet, which links the company with its extended family
of suppliers, partners, distributors, and existing customers
– The Internet, which provides market information to potential customers

To help our clients thrive in this kind of business climate, Ceitronics is perfecting its own “Real Time” responsiveness. We constantly strive to develop an attitude of openness to change and a willingness to explore the ongoing shifts and readjustments in the marketplace.

It’s real time and Ceitronics is here to help you leverage it.
