| How Crestron e-Control Works in a Corporate Board Room 1. The LAN (local area network) fiber optic backbone connects the server to workstations in offices and meeting rooms, A/V and presentation devices, the entire campus, and to the Internet 2. The Server Room contains a server connected to the LAN backbone and to the Internet 3. The Machine Room installed by Ceitronics contains the Crestron e-Control switcher and all the A/V playback equipment. Each device is operated locally or remotely through e-Control 4. Presenters in the meeting room or in another office on the headquarters campus can use their workstations and e-Control over the LAN to run a presentation 5. Crestron touchpanels use e-Control to operate all A/V and presentation equipment, plus lights, shades and blinds 6. A/V access plates mounted under the seats or on the walls allow meeting participants to become a source by plugging in a portable computer or a Crestron touchpanel and using e-Control to make presentations from where theyre sitting. 7. Operators at remote locations can make themselves a source and use e-Control over the Internet to run presentations. 8. Multimedia equipment such as digital projectors, projection screens, video monitors, and surround-sound speakers receive the presentation signal over the LAN, and are controlled locally or remotely by e-Control. |
