Ceitronics Installs Crestron e-Control so Either a LAN or the Internet can be Used to Operate A/V Equipment

In an installation for a Fortune 500 company, Ceitronics wired seven new board rooms for worldwide meetings, including a full array of video, audio, computer projection, and two-way videoconferencing. All of the presentation systems are controlled remotely by Crestron e-Control and thus can be operated from inside each meeting room, or from the other side of the world.

Crestron e-Control is an integrated system of switching hardware and command-and-control software that provides remote control of presentation systems. It communicates over either a LAN/WAN or the Internet. In this installation, e-Control carries presentation and command signals over a fiber optic backbone to the presentation equipment.

Ceitronics also installed Crestron CT-3500™ touchpanels in the meeting rooms, coupled with the Crestron CNMSX-PRO integrated controller and CNXENET Ethernet card for network connection to the company LAN. The touchpanel is a convenient, hands-on control panel for the A/V and presentation equipment, and features colorful control graphics. Crestron Electronics (www.crestron.com), based in Rockleigh, New Jersey, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of control and automation systems.
