The dais design has tiered seating, 13' x 45' front projection screen with dual 12,000 lumen projectors, 13 person dais, 17 staff or public presentation locations, 7 remote controlled video cameras, speech and program audio systems and extensive remote control system. Each dais position has a LCD touch screen capable of viewing any source being projected, a remote PC assigned to that position or a laptop PC plugged into a local input. Through the touch screen, a member may request to speak, annotate a video or PC source, and vote. The Mayor has additional capability in activating the speaker timer; manage the dais and public request to speak cues, and the agenda. Each location also has a microphone with mute switch and audio reinforcement speaker. |
The production area has one studio which can control the broadcast from either the Chambers or the Committee room. Included in the broadcast area are a hard drive & 300 disk DVD jukebox archive recording system and web streaming computer. Four tape decks were integrated into the system to provide an ingest method for the existing library of various formats of tapes.
The Committee room has 4 video projectors to accommodate various seating and partition configurations. All inputs to the audio and video system are accommodated through 10 floor boxes and 3 wall plate locations. Five remote control video cameras are used for broadcasting any proceedings from this space.
All spaces are tied together over fiber or an A/V gigabit network. The spaces are locally switched using A/V routers. Approximately 4,500 cross points are provided. All the audio is routed and processed using Peavey DSP based processors. The audio system has approximately 237 inputs and 180 outputs.
The remote control system is capable of controlling all A/V equipment as well as lighting and shades. The system can be controlled from within the space or anywhere in the complex through the City network.
